All styles, all genres and all backgrounds – when the BBC put out a call for musicians and creatives to devise tonight’s Prom, the only prerequisite was raw talent. Now, in the first ever BBC Open Music Prom, we hand over to 30 extraordinary creatives (selected from over 1,300 applicants nationwide) who’ve worked with mentors on the BBC’s new Open Music scheme, and hear what they have to say. It’s the culmination of an intensive creative process, and promises to be unlike anything heard before at the Proms.
The sound of the UK in all its diversity and potential, making its voice heard right here and right now.
