Music Collection 5 July 2010 (Part 4)

Notes from the artist:

My desire/ArtistIntent is that track titles be written as they are in the ID3 tags when present, and as they are in the filenames when the files aren't tagged, with a couple exceptions where the ID3 & filenames are due to technical limitations, in particular where Unicode replacement characters are serving their usual function and aren't part of track titles.

The files are in folders on the DVD, sorted by artist alias and album. Look for "Part4-tree-fi.csv" in this link for a listing of the folder names.

When "tracksets" are available (MBS-11236, MBS-6680) the folders could be represented as tracksets.

20208 is a "release ID", retroactively assigned to this release on 19 February 2025.

It's a data DVD. In the top level are folders by artist alias, then the next level of folders are releases, in which are the track files. The order of the top level folders isn't clear, since they're not numbered. However Mac OS sorted them in 2010 is probably how they were meant to be sorted.

An artist isn't credited for the DVD as a whole, only for albums within the DVD.

Track 42, "Sylvan Fantasy" (first track from Sylvan Fantasy Remix Collection), is detected as 3 min 41 sec by my music player, but it stops playing and advances to the next track after ~2 min 12 sec, which is the duration given on the artwork.

It appears to be an accident that tél — competition version is included both on this DVD and on Part 3.
