"Love-Ology" is a studio and indipop album sung by Bollywood singer Shaan. It was his first independent solo album, marking his transition from a classical remix album. It was first released on 12 March 1997 in the Audio CD format and then on 8 April 1997 in the Cassette format at an Audio Launch event organized by Magnasound Records. Several magnasound artists/singers like Sonu Nigam, Sagarika, Hariharan, Shweta Shetty, Suchitra Kriahnamoorthi, Lesle Lewis, Alisha Chinai, Daler Mehndi, Models and few non-magnasound artists/singers like Anaida, Hema Sardesai, Mehnaz Hoosein, Mahalakshmi Iyer, Suneeta Rao and Zubeen Garg were attended at this event, in which Zubeen was regarded as the first Assamese singer to attended Hindi pop singer's Audio Launch event. It consists of ten songs (8 original songs and 2 bonus tracks, "Armaan" and "Dekh"), which were taken from "Naujawan" and only appeared in Audio CD format. It was also his first album to not used under the artist credit of his real name "Shantanu" as well as after he started dating with his then girlfriend Radhika on 13 November 1996. It also marked the debut of Ram Sampath as a music composer.
