Butter-Fly

These are songs that should be considered as fond childhood memories to everyone who had watched "Digimon Adventure 01 (DA01)" in 1999, especially the original "Butter-Fly". This rock song gives more than entertainment, we feel not the despair but the hope behind your dreams. The lyric of "无限大な梦のあとの、何もない世の中じゃ"(Behind infinite dreams is, a such an empty world.) also became a classic lyric to everyone as it reflects the world we are leaving in, full of dreams but with so many rejections. However the last line "飞べる on my love." actually is the lyric that points out the whole purpose of this song: pursue your dreams even though you are weak, you can fly with only the love from your heart! The unaccompanied section of "Butter-Fly" was sung in the last episode of "DA01" as Mimi's sunhat flew towards the sky as she was waving goodbye to Palmon. I believe that this should be the most touching moment in the whole cartoon. Who knows how many of you cried during this scene. No matter the reason you love this song, this should be an all time favorite. The original “Seven” gives a feeling of wanting for freedom as soon as you hear the first lyric. The song first appeared in an episode in which the chosen children build a boat to leave the island they have landed on and embark on a journey to a bigger continent on which they will continue the journey to find their way from the Digital World back to the present world. This indirectly shows our want to free ourselves from this dark world. A great song that you can listen when your feel nervous and want to wind down a bit.
