Bränn min jord

~ Release by Fågelle (see all versions of this release, 1 available)

Annotation

Bränn min jord was recorded in the inland of Halland, southern Sweden — among forests, small towns, and community halls. After years in Berlin and Gothenburg, Fågelle returned to the region to work from the landscape itself.

The title refers to the practice of burning land to allow new growth. The album traces similar cycles of leaving and returning, attachment and rupture, and how places continue to shape identity over time.

The music brings together distorted guitars, brass, field recordings, electronics and vocals, balancing organic and industrial textures. Local musicians, movement, and everyday sounds from the region are woven into the recordings, grounding the album in its surroundings.
