After 5 years, I will retire the "Diamondstep" alias, before you rage quit and give me the KSI and Datsik treatment, give a minute to discuss. It's been 5 years of nonstop remixing, writing, torturing computers to make decent noises, experiencing blue screens (oh and green screens, let's not forget the microsoft insider program problems lol), stacking ott and disperser, finding that perfect snare and kick and pulling all-nighters just make sure the final mixdown is REALLY the final mixdown. But can I take this to the next level? maybe.... can I come up with more good ideas.... ehhhh, i can.... and finally, can I keep the amount of chaos, war sound and creativity? let's see!... But look, my sound changed, not only that but also my perspective. The Skrillex and Teknoaxe inspiration from 2020 and 2019, which lit a major burner under the idea pan, added too much heat... in simple words, the inspiration from my favorites artists pushed me to the sound I never knew I wanted. But that wanted sound came with mixed second thoughts, I've came to realize now that the sound I wanted doesn't match the "Diamondstep" name plate. Yes Diamondstep is a dubstep household name but, it doesn't sound like it fits the new mold, like a house having insufficient space or rooms. My new tongue-tearing, gut-wrenching design doesn't scream "Diamondstep" or "Diamond Duchrodes" or "Diamondsenpai" anymore. Besides, name a tearout artist that got a name that sounds like they make wholesome color bass, eh? pfft ok i'm not canadian but i couldn't resist! but look, I made my peak here on the alias, I want to make another with a new name plate. I'm thankful for what I have accomplished with my alias, label(s), friends and music family, and real life family of course! I'm thankful for what I was able to bring to the table for Thorium Audio, I'm thankful for the experiments I did under this name. remember the beta-albums? okay, no one actually remembers that... but still, I'm glad I got to uncover all of my sides of "Diamondstep", especially the rottening ones lol! with all said... It's time to put the name to rest, but before I could do that, I want to let you know that well.... I portray my music as Charlie Morningstar, no I don't 50k dollars in the bank and no I don't simp for Charlie like verbalace does (lol my girlfriend hates you now v.a, happy now 🤣). but it's mainly because while charlie is happy, cheerful and bubbly lots of the times, that don't stop her from turning into the red she-devil badass Vivienne created her character to be! yeah i'll never be BlitzØ, i'm too down to earth to be master Blitz... do you really think Blitz listens to color bass or dubstep in general? he got time to kill more than to listen, that brandon rogers character is a type of breed I was never pushed out the womb to be. anyway, enjoy."
