The Golden Age of Light Music: Musical Kaleidoscope, Volume 1

~ Release by Various Artists (see all versions of this release, 1 available)

Annotation

This collection features a number of works which, for various reasons, did not ideally fit in with the concept of other recent Guild Light Music CDs. Many of the titles are special requests from loyal supporters of this series, but there was so much material available that a second volume will follow shortly. A special feature this time is the inclusion of some rare recordings of BBC orchestras, and particularly welcome will be the opening themes for the much-missed Light Programme, and the signature tune for the ‘Countryside’ series.
