Something To Tell / So Many Things

Ho Hum Records are excited to announce its latest release with two stripped-back folk cuts from the sensational female artist Beth Hirsch on collectible 7” single and digital download formats.

Florida-born Beth Hirsch found worldwide fame with her two cuts “You Make It Easy” and “All I Need” on the seminal Air album “Moon Safari”. Following her Air success, Beth released both “Early Days” and “Titles & Idols” (including production from Ho Hum artists Custom Blue) on the Studio !K7 label and last year a self-funded LP “Wholehearted”.

Ho Hum Records are delighted to re-introduce Beth Hirsch with two heartfelt songs “Something To Tell” and “So Many Things” the latter featuring a duet with Ho Hum acoustic act The Willow. Both tracks are stripped down pieces of emotional folk and “Something to Tell” also features the stunning string arranging of Caroline Daniel who last worked with Beth on the 2001 album “Titles & Idols” to great effect.

“So Many Things”, is a duet with Ho Hum artist The Willow and once again this is stripped back folk at it’s strongest; with electronic ambiences and lilting piano which blend together in this special production. This is heartfelt music, lamenting love and engaging the listener on an emotional journey, the voices blending to great effect.

Both tracks were made in London at the Ho Hum studio, with Beth adding vocals in LA where she now resides having also counted Paris and London as homes.

Beth’s output catalogue is varied and the songwriter can count americana, electronica and jazz in her recent works; however only her most folky of mood would be appropriate for a Ho Hum 7 and thank goodness, because this combination of Ho Hum’s stripped production and Beth’s stunning vocal works to stunning effect.
