Back in the 80's, there was a bootleg called "Melvins Demos" with 9 tracks from 1983 and 7 from 1984. To head off the bootlegging/satisfy fan demands for it/make some money, they've planned twice to release the first 9 tracks as "Mangled Demos from 1983." The first was to be on Gasatanka, but never came out; the second is scheduled for 2005-05-30 on Ipecac. Of course both have been leaked and appeared as bootlegs (see http://www.audio3.cz/goods.asp?gid=724550).
