Jazz in Paris: Dizzy Gillespie & his Operatic Strings Orchestra
~ Release by Dizzy Gillespie (see all versions of this release, 1 available)
Annotation
Recorded April 1952 (tracks 7-16) and 1953 (tracks 1-6) in Paris.
Reissue of the Blue Star 78rpm discs 247 (tracks 1-2), 248 (tracks 3-4), 249 (tracks 5-6) & 250 (tracks 13-16).
Notes
A late Verve assemblage of two 50s releases ("Jazz From Paris" and "Dizzy and Strings", from Clef and Norgran).
Probably interesting only for completists, there are plenty of more essential Dizzy's albums around.
