V-Disc: The Songs That Went to War

An important note from the included booklet: "This album consists almost entirely of special recordings by musicians who, because of their desire to contribute to the war effort, came together to record V-Discs for the armed forces. Later, many of these artists would record the same selections for their record labels, but what you will hear, in many cases, are their first recordings of these songs as well as a goodly number that they never recorded for commercial use."

I bring this up because many of the artists performed with their military rank included (e.g. Capt. Glenn Miller...) and with military bands (e.g. ...and the 418th AAFTC Orchestra). MusicBrainz wouldn't let me include these since they weren't in their database and after reading the FAQ I still didn't see a way to include them. I was forced to use the accepted names and didn't see a way to override this. If I find out it's possible I'll go back and put the correct credits in.
