The Darkness and the Light

Note from the artist:

Idiosyncratic capitalization is intentional. This appears to have been originally envisioned as a compilation album, "Best Works: as of 13 April 2012". This is an earlier revision of this later release.

I had two versions of this album in my discography reference page as of October 1st, 2012, with a note on the second one that "the only difference in this version is revised artwork". This release in MusicBrainz reflects the pre-revision version of this album as established by that discography entry. I suspect this earlier version may no longer exist as files tagged with the earlier variation of the artwork (using this album name) at all.

I actually have three cover artwork files for this. All three cover files are dated 13 April 2012.

* "cover V1, 13 April 2012.png", dated 9:12 PM, used the title "Best Works: as of 13 April 2012". That version never made it into my discography page, so I'd conclude I never finished it.†
* "cover V2, 13 April 2012.png", apparently corresponding to this release, was dated 9:38 PM.
* "cover V3, 13 April 2012.png", which has a separate MusicBrainz release, was dated 9:41 PM, so it appears that this early version of this album may have had a lifespan of a whopping three minutes before being withdrawn and replaced, potentially explaining why I don't seem to have a copy of it.

† Actually, there are three versions of The Darkness and the Light in a later discography spreadsheet. Perhaps one of them was meant to represent this first cover art, and I just misremembered the title? I don't know if it actually existed in a finished form, though.
