This is No. 80 of the "Jazz Archives" series; the "Vol. 5" in the title comes from the series using the artists' name as primary title of its entries, and this release is the fifth of Reinhardt.

The performers of track 19 are collectively credited as "Le Quintette du Hot-Club de France" on the jewelcase backside, but detailed in the booklet.
