A few notes:

05 Why was this not included on the official release of Dylan's 30th Anniversary Concert? "It's unbelievable, it's strange but true..."

08 Final show of Richard Thompson side project featuring Ralph McTell, Dave Pegg, and Dave Mattacks)

09 From the Bill Graham Memorial Concert. I guess Dylan couldn't make it.

13 Crowds seem to bring out the worst in Mick. Here, rehearsing in Toronto, he brings some real feeling to this anthem, as opposed to the mere bluster of the concerts that would follow.

15 Amnesty International Concert featuring U2, Sting, and Peter Gabriel, among others.

Due to the many different sources, I am not including lineages. The first and last cuts are audience recordings. "Highway 61" is a matrix. The rest are soundboards or FM.I have done nothing to the original files but normalize the levels and fade in and out on each track (using Cool Edit). Thanks, of course, to the tapers, the original uploaders, and especially the performers and composer. Pdiamond and dsgtrane have been kind enough to create art for the first four volumes, and hopefully one or both of them or someone else will do the same for this one.

FEEL FREE TO PM SUGGESTIONS FOR FUTURE VOLUMES, especially if you are willing to get me files to include; thanks to those of you who have already made suggestions and sent files; this time out, "All I Really Want to Do" and "Forever Young" came from generous correspondents.

On that note, I am hoping that Volume 8 will feature studio outtakes and demos, but so far am coming up a bit short. I have tracks from George Harrison, The Waterboys, The Walkabouts, Nick Drake (Tanworth-in-Arden), and Elvis Costello (Flip City). If you have others you can share, please PM me.

Cheers, Jeffs98119
