Annotation

1997 two-disc compilation featuring recordings by tenor Luciano Pavarotti, issued by Decca Records (London imprint), catalog number 452 800, manufactured in Canada.

Disc 1 consists primarily of operatic arias drawn from standard Italian and French repertoire, including works by Verdi, Puccini, Donizetti, Leoncavallo, Bizet, Massenet, Ponchielli, Meyerbeer, and Mascagni. Disc 2 contains Neapolitan songs, popular Italian songs, sacred works, and crossover material.

Guest artists include mezzo-soprano Cecilia Bartoli, tenor Andrea Bocelli, and singer Frank Sinatra.

Some tracks are sourced from previously issued recordings (including 1988 and 1995 sessions licensed from external labels). The release includes both operatic studio recordings and popular arrangements.
