Decisión unánime

Puerto Rican salsa singer Victor Manuelle returns with DECISION UNANIME. The album stays true to the roots of salsa even as it incorporates pop-oriented elements like the synthesizer fanfare that opens "El Perdedor" and the electronic beats that occasionally supplant the conga-led percussion grooves. Aside from that mild production gloss, most of DECISION UNANIME is as exciting and dramatic as the best salsa, especially on live tracks like the celebratory "Puerto Rico 2006."
