Monalisa EP

"Monalisa EP" is the avant-garde manifesto where Altazores anticipated the global trend of fusing high-fidelity techno with electric guitar. Long before the international circuit integrated organic riffs, Mauricio Herrera was already projecting this "Techno-Rock" alchemy, sending his demos to influential figures in Europe. This EP is the historical proof that Altazores, alongside DJ Tweeter, were pioneers of a sound that would later be replicated by the highest echelons of global techno.

Inspired by Berlin club culture and the heritage of The Chemical Brothers, the EP stands out as Herrera's debut singing entirely in English, leveraging his bilingual background for an international-standard vocal execution. The tracklist ranges from the rave energy of "Monalisa," featuring Hendrix-style wah-wah textures, to the mysticism of "Mystical Muse" and its slide guitars. Special mention goes to the remix by DJ Tweeter, who deconstructs the title track into a Trip-Hop gem with a masterful drop. With artwork that merges futuristic graffiti and Berlin aesthetics, this EP is the essential bridge toward the melodic mastery of his subsequent works.
