I haven't found any information on this. The album cover for "The Dizzy Gillespie Story" credits "L. Herman Planemar Music Co., BMI". The only thing that comes up in a search that's even close is Herman Lubinsky, the owner of Planemar Music, who was infamous for cheating jazz composers out of their royalties.
