For Musicians Only
~ Release by Dizzy Gillespie / Stan Getz / Sonny Stitt (see all versions of this release, 27 available)
Annotation
Notes
One of the stellar moments of bebop, and one of the most "unlikely" jazz encounter between the bop trumpeter master and the guardian of the cool.
This album not only is, in itself, an absolute musical gem, but also highly represent what bebop was: a musical practice requiring an extreme amount of virtuosity while at the same time letting freedom flow in every note.
Needless to say, a must.
