This recording is a digital remaster of the 1975 live performance of the The Rhinegold in English in London Coliseum. It was recorded on 10, 19, 25, and 29 March 1975. For the complete detailed booklet, download from the Chandos physical CD release on MusicBrainz or the Chandos official website.

The Rhinegold is the first part of Richard Wagner’s "The Ring of the Nibelung”. The Ring, translated into English by Andrew Porter, performed by the English National Opera company, conducted by Reginald Goodall, was recorded in its entirety, over several years from 1973 to 1977.
